Monday Katrina photos
9th Ward: Large-screen TV in an abandoned boat. Was the owner trying to save his own TV, or was the TV being stolen by a looter? I suspect the latter.
9th Ward, above St. Claude Avenue: More of the tens, or hundreds, of thousands of flooded vehicles in the graveyard of autos.
Gentilly: Look at the water height on the van.
Gentilly, Music and Prentiss Streets: Across New Orleans, owners hoped that elevating their cars a few extra inches on the neutral grounds would save their vehicles from flooding.
Gentilly, Prentiss Street: "Enter to worship, depart to serve."
Canal Street: American Red Cross, New Orleans chapter.
American Red Cross: Baby Anne.
American Red Cross: Help can't wait.

Spitting in a Wishing Well
Welcome back! Some parts of the city are doing pretty well, with much of the garbage removed, and services restored. Other parts look much the same as they did weeks ago.
Send me an email offline if you need any help with anything.
Schroeder - thanks - just wanted to say i'll be there for the voodoo concert on saturday - i had tickets months ago so can attend. unfortunately, i can't stay, yet, but i'll be back often. with money for rebuilding! and hopefully back at UNO in the spring. Well, if you like, you can find me at the WTUL tent/booth (I don't know what they have there). Ask for Brian.
