2025? Wrong answer!

Not good enough:

In the many calculations of what it will take to rebuild, restore and repopulate New Orleans, there is one huge number that looms over the conversation: 2025.

New Orleanians can't wait that long. I say the target should be Louisiana's 2012 bicentennial for completion of at least a significant portion of a project that protects the greater New Orleans area from a Category 5 storm. Fill the MRGO and build up the lakefront levees. That much should be possible. It wouldn't be popular, but how about securing New Orleans first, as the (once) most populous city, and certainly the most important economic engine of Louisiana.
