Finally, the state has a rebuilding plan!

Less than three weeks from the start of the next hurricane season!

It's now in the hands of Congress.

The conventional wisdom is that Congress will keep its eye on the defense authorization which will fund the LRA plan. Nevertheless, it is vitally important that Congress hears that citizens across the country do not have "Katrina fatigue," and that they are still focused on getting New Orleans rebuilt.

The LRA plan is probably nothing more than a good first swipe at the problem. There will be more resources required down the road for housing, flood protection, and coastal restoration. It's important for Congress to get the message that we're all united in our support for New Orleans, and we're watching what Congress decides to do.

Tell Congress how much you love New Orleans.
