Call NPR by 2 PM Thursday
Stacey Tallitsch is a Democrat running in a tough battle in Louisiana's 1st Congressional District against the well-financed Republican, Bobby "ah-ah-ah" Jindahl. I've been receiving Stacey's correspondence on a mailing list service I subscribe to.
She's now asking for help getting attention focused on her campaign:
I had an interview a few weeks ago with a local NPR radio station in IL (hear it: http://publicbroadcasting.net/wnij/news/content/847958.html). Now the national NPR radio network wants to air the interview, but they want to hear from supporters too.
I would really appreciate it if you called the NPR station as an American voter.
The catch is they want to air the show on Saturday, which means they need to hear from you right away, after Thursday at 2pm CST will be too late.
The person you need to contact is Chris Lehman @ (815) 753-0070
He's a very personable guy and is literally waiting for you to call him. All you have to say is, "This is [your name] and I'm a supporter of Stacey Tallitsch, (pronounced: Tal-ish) the Candidate from Louisiana."
He'll tell you what he's doing and ask you a few questions about the issues in a post Katrina race.
After you call him, let me know how it turned out and how you felt about the interview.

In a previous correspondence, Stacey mentioned a book she's published, which provides an idea what her views are:
The first book is titled, "The New American Compact: Restoring the People's House to America." This progressive "Contract with America" lists 10 Articles for the 110th Congress to be signed by 110 freshmen democratic candidates from all over the country. As the Republican Party collapses from within by treasonous scandal, cynical corruption and a failed war policy, a new Democratic Party is emerging from the brink of ruin. I believe in the old adage: for cream to rise to the top, the bucket must be shaken.
