Bring New Orleans Back Commission to present master plan for rebuilding New Orleans
I love how these vital meetings are planned when most people are working! I strongly encourage anyone who's not working to show and and speak up if you don't like what you hear -- these are public meetings.

‘Bring Back’ commission to present plan for city
NEW ORLEANS — The Bring New Orleans Back Commission will begin presenting to Mayor C. Ray Nagin its master plan for rebuilding the city during a series of meetings that will begin next week.
Committees of the commission will report on their particular sections of the master plan in seven separate meetings scheduled as follows:
• Wednesday, Jan. 11, 1 p.m., Urban Planning Committee
• Tuesday, Jan. 17, 1 p.m.. Education Committee
• Tuesday, Jan. 17, 3 p.m., Cultural Committee
• Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1 p.m., Health & Social Services Committee
• Wednesday, Jan. 18, 3 p.m., Infrastructure Committee
• Thursday, Jan. 19, 1 p.m., Administrative/Government Effectiveness Committee
• Friday, Jan. 20, 1 p.m., Economic Development Committee
The meetings will be held in the Napoleon Room at the Sheraton Hotel, 500 Canal St., in New Orleans. The presentations to Mayor Nagin will culminate on Friday, January 20, 2006.
The public is invited to attend all meetings.
Once all seven committee reports have been presented, the Mayor will have received the Bring New Orleans Back Commission's entire recommended plan to rebuild the city, a charge for which it was created.
"We have a tremendous opportunity to rebuild a great American city," stated Mayor Nagin. "I applaud the hours the Commissioners and their committee members have put into this process and urge the public to pay close attention to these meetings as we all rebuild together."
