USA Today poll:

Approve: 43 Disapprove: 51

The accompanying USA Today article.

Clinton preferred over Bush in CNN poll:

When asked which man was more honest as president, poll respondents were more evenly divided, with the numbers -- 46 percent Clinton to 41 percent Bush -- falling within the poll's margin of error. The same was true for a question on handling national security: 46 percent said Clinton performed better; 42 percent picked Bush.

And no president other than Nixon has had poll numbers in the thirties for this long.

Not that any American would wish to see a president fail -- it hurts all of us (God knows, we're seeing it here in New Orleans), but it's long overdue time the rest of the country woke up and started screaming about the incompetence, and getting our soldiers killed to prop up an ineffective administration built upon image handlers and lies serving a corporate elite.

Problem is, we're stuck with the bum for the next 2 1/2 years, God help us. Impeach Bush? C'mon, let's get real. Three words that should scare any thinking man: President Dick Cheney. He of the snarl and the "go BLEEP yourself" response to a respected senator who said hello to him in the hallway. Bush is a doofus, but at least he's a somewhat amiable doofus. Cheney... that man is just plain *evil*.
