Dollar Bill's war chest

Dollar Bill Jefferson has raised $778,000 for his re-election campaign. $332,754 is still in the bank. That leaves about $445,246 in his freezer.

If Benjamin Edwards can spend $269,000 on billboards in Atlanta for Nagin, I imagine the few billboards I've seen for Dollar Bill are worth close to $400k. Or maybe he needed a new wardrobe. The freezer, though, is probably bulging this time.

DBs up, and if were were really curious, we could check the day books of all of the TV stations and see what he's bought (or try to cajole that information out of somebody on an opposing campaign, who probably already knows).

I can't remember if they've changed the rules, but they used to be able to convert that money after (ahem) retirement, and maybe Dollar Bill is just trying to count the cards and decide if its worth spending or keeping.
