Krewe du Vieux !!!
HEY ALL! Just a heads up that I'll either be down on Frenchman Street, or nearer La Spiga for Krewe du Vieux tonight.
I can't wait to watch the parade. I've been looking forward to this almost more than anything else as a major landmark post-Katrina.
Anyone want to meet down there somewhere?

*sigh* I wish I could have voiced in with a resounding "I'll be there!!", but North Carolina is just a little bit out of the way. we were going to be there for Mardi Gras this year (I want my boys to go to Louisiana and to see Mardi Gras as much as possible while theyre young, so they get to know their heritage), but I'm in EMT-B school, and the class schedule is ferociously strict when it comes to attendance.
So, I'll have to wait until May to see New Orleans again.
When in town, look me up.
