Get rid of the criminal sheriff's office as well

The Times-Picayune:

A report issued by the Juvenile Justice Project of Louisiana ... “Treated Like Trash: Juvenile Detention in New Orleans Before, During and After Hurricane Katrina,” questions the competence of Sheriff Marlin Gusman’s staff in running the prison and pointedly calls for him to stop housing juveniles.

Gusman's incompetent and a leach on taxpayers. Foti before him was at least competent, but he turned the jail into a private enterprise for his own enrichment.

I say we get rid of the criminal and civil sheriff's offices, and expand the ranks of the NOPD.
